About Logan Mackensen
Logan Jacobson Mackensen grew up in Metro Detroit. She always knew she wanted to be a lawyer, eventually finding her calling in family law.
Logan attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and subsequently graduated from Wayne State University in 2003 with Honors, Magna Cum Laude. She then attended the Caruso School of Law at Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, California, from which she graduated in 2005 with her Juris Doctorate degree.
After law school, Logan’s desire to help those in need led her to the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office. There, she was a law clerk until she was hired on as a full-time trial attorney after passing the California Bar Exam. At the end of 2010, Logan elected to move back to Metro Detroit where she joined her father in the ownership and management of mobile home parks across the country. In that capacity, Logan had the opportunity to learn various aspects of contract law, real estate law and landlord/tenant law. During this time, Logan also attended Walsh College in Troy, Michigan where she took courses in business, accounting and taxes, obtaining her Finance Certificate in 2013.
A Unique Perspective
Logan now offers her extensive and diverse education and variety of work experiences to benefit others.
As a trial attorney, Logan spent years advising clients on the possible scenarios and outcomes they were facing and the merits of their cases. She reached many successful settlements for clients where it made sense and saw many other cases through to jury trial.
As a real estate property owner and manager responsible for almost 10,000 residential units, Logan gained an entirely new perspective. Instead of being an advisor, advocate or outside observer, Logan was tasked with understanding litigation from a client’s point of view.
It was then that she knew she would translate her 17 years honing strategies across trial law, communications and relationships to the area of family law. Her unique perspective brings an understanding of what separates a winning case from a losing case, and she enjoys guiding individuals through the legal process to get the outcome they desire.
Logan feels strongly that people should be empowered with an understanding of the legal process in divorce and family law matters so they have a voice in working toward a solution that’s right for them.
